James Rankin

Mark is one of our Appointed Persons at AMC, which means he works hard to survey sites and projects in order to provide safe methods of lifting and to advise on cost efficiency and suitability for our customers.

Writing up tailored lift plans and documenting the safe sequence of operations, Mark is always on hand to help our customers and figure out exactly what is best for their needs.

Working in construction since he was 16, and working in lifting for the last 10 years, Mark is a fully qualified CPCS Blue Ticker Slinger Signaller, Spider Crane Operator, Crane Supervisor and friendly face!

Mark says that his biggest career achievement is when he became an appointed person at AMC:

“I was not very academic at school, but hard work and perseverance, along with the encouragement of the management at AMC has seen me evolve into a recognised person within the industry.”

“I am passionate about my role and industry because of the relationship with the customers we work for - and the team I work with, they support me and, in return, I support them.”

It would be ‘DO NOT DISTURB’ as I’m disturbed enough already lol.

In a movie about your life, who would you want to play you?

If I were to have someone play me in a film of my life it would be the cheeky chappy Londoner Danny Dyer.
